The latest in dance trends in 2020 is the Justin Bieber, named the latest teen sensation. He has spent the last two years composing a number of videos that have catapulted him to the forefront of the pop world. To this day, fans still celebrate his super fans with the Justin Biebers, Yummy Dance Challenge, and we here at JOY Allstars are excited to see how he performs at this year's Teen Choice Awards.
We recently sat down with James Adomian of DANCE ALLSTAR SENTCOUNT, an international performance consulting firm, to get a couple of thoughts on the best dance trends for the coming year. He noted that dance is growing more popular every year. The latest advancements are seen in videos like the Justin Bieber and the TikTok Compilation.
In the world of music, boy bands such as Backstreet Boys, One Direction, and The X-Factor have established themselves and become the industry icons of our time. However, it wasn't until last year that the genre took its next huge step, with the debut of a boy band that became overnight stars. During that span, four different members came out and gave us two breakout hits in the form of the Justin Bieber and the TIKTOK Compilation. Both songs were made available as single downloads.
It seems that the Justin Bieber is a breakthrough in sound and in a style that a lot of fans are not used to hear. It fits right in the mold of a boy band, and the song called "Baby" is pretty catchy, and it's not an overstated song. Therefore, fans have been quick to embrace the Biebs, and it has seen him launch a number of endeavors to become a trend setter.
The second Justin Bieber video, the Yummy Dance Challenge, was also released just last year. This takes the concept of the Justin Bieber and adds one more feather to his cap. His talent and ability were showcased to the fullest in the form of a game show style dance challenge.
Whether or not it's meant to be an homage to your favorite group, it's good to see Justin, or any of his team, become part of a game-show. Although it would probably be better if he participated in a real dance contest instead of a game show.
The new Justin Bieber video that hit YouTube in the last week, the TIKTOK Compilation, is another hit. The song "Baby" has been getting rave reviews from fans for it's unique features and great choreography. Now, it's easy to see how it's impossible to walk down the street without bumping into someone wearing a Justin Bieber t-shirt.
James Adomian of DANCE ALLSTAR SENTCOUNT, agreed that this style of video will continue to grow, and that there's a definite difference between what the Justin Bieber has accomplished and what others will attempt. The TIKTOK Compilation came out over the weekend, and now the same can be said about the Yummy Dance Challenge.
You may recall the famous The Office theme song, "Edgar Vernon and the Bluesbreakers" which is why James refers to it as the parody of this type of video. The Justin Bieber video is undoubtedly a parody, and I couldn't agree more with James.
Julie Kooiman, the creator of the Justin Bieber video, is now in the midst of the second wave of what will surely be his career defining video. You'll soon see if he succeeds in becoming the next big thing.
That's not all we have covered for you this week. Make sure to check out the other articles we've posted this week.
