Johnny Manziel (Manzel)

Early life

His family became rich through the Texas petroleum industry.

Manziel grew up playing with various sports, including basketball, baseball, golf, and soccer. At Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas, he focused on football and baseball.




High school profession

At Tivy High School, Mark Smith trained him. His first year Manziel started with the freshman team and played football all four years. He played with the varsity team. He began mainly as a receiver, but started the fourth match at quarterback. He shared that position for the rest of the season, ending passing, for an united 28 touchdowns. rushing and 408 receiving 806 As starting quarterback his junior year was his first, and he completed that season with 152 receiving yards passing yards, 1,544 rushing yards, 2,903 and 55 touchdowns. That year, he was voted All-San Antonio Region Offensive Player of the Year along with District 27-4A MVP.

He had 170 carries for and 30 yards 1,674 TDs. He returned a kickoff for a touchdown for an united 77 TDs and had 1 TD reception.

He won the Mr. Texas Football award in 2010.

He was recruited out of high school; along with Texas A&M, he received offers from Baylor, , Oregon, Rice, Stanford, Tulsa, and State, Iowa State, Louisiana Tech Colorado Wyoming. Although he grew up a Texas Longhorns fan, he was not recruited by the University of Texas. Although it was rumored that Texas needed Manziel at defensive back, Texas coach Mack Brown said the rumor wasn't accurate.[20] Though Manziel initially committed to play for Oregon, he afterwards shifted his dedication to the Aggies, thanks to the influence of then-quarterbacks coach Tom Rossley.

Manziel was named to the NUC All World Game (began by David Schuman and National Underclassmen Combine) in 2010 where he rushed for over 100 yards and threw for over 200. It was the first time Manziel controlled on a national period. He played with Oregon QB Marcus Mariota in the game as a teammate.


2016 offseason

On January 6, 2016, LRMR, Manziel's advertising service, declared that it would not work with Manziel. Erik Burkhardt, Manziel's representative, additionally declared he would no more represent Manziel.
